Unite values your privacy and the protection of your personal data. This privacy policy describes what information we collect from you, how we collect it, how we use it, how we obtain your consent, how long we retain it in our databases, and, if necessary, with whom we share it.
By using the platform, you accept the practices described in this privacy policy. Use of the platform is also subject to our terms and conditions. In this privacy policy, the words “platform” refer to the Unite mobile application and the website together, “we”, “our” and “Unite”, refer to Unite, and “you”, and “user “, refer to you, the Unite user.
This privacy policy may change from time to time. Your continued use of the Platform after we make changes will be deemed acceptance of those changes, so please check the policy periodically for updates. This privacy policy has been developed and is maintained in accordance with all applicable national and international laws and regulations regarding privacy and protection of personal data and, specifically, with Organic Law 3/2018, December 5th, of Protection of Personal Data and guarantee of digital rights (LOPD-GDD – Spanish regulation), the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR – European regulation) and the Personal Data Protection Law 25,326 (PDPA – Argentine regulation).

2. HOW WE OBTAIN YOUR CONSENT
By downloading and using our platform, registering as a user and creating a profile, creating an activity, purchasing additional functionality, using the functionalities available on the platform and contacting us through our contact information, you agree that we collect, store and use your information in the terms set out in this privacy policy. You can withdraw your consent by sending us your request via our contact information.
3. TYPES OF INFORMATION COLLECTED
The information we collect from our users helps us provide our platform and services appropriately. These are the types of information we collect:
Information that you provide us: You provide us information when you download and use our platform, register as a user and create a profile, create an activity, purchase additional functionality, use the functionalities available on the platform, and contact us through our contact information. As a result of those actions, you may provide us with the following information:
- Name
- Email address
- Phone number
- Birthdate
- Nationality
- Spoken languages
- Profile photo
Unite will not collect any personally identifiable information about you unless you provide it.
Usage data: Unite automatically collects certain types of information during users’ use of the application. This collection includes technical data such as device type, operating system, device settings, app usage, and interaction preferences. This information is essential to improve the functionality and performance of the application, as well as to personalize the user experience and ensure system compatibility. All data collected is treated in accordance with our privacy policy, guaranteeing its protection and confidentiality.
User Content: Unite collects, processes and stores user content, which includes data and information entered on our platform, including content provided by users when creating a user profile and activities, solely for the provision and improvement of our services and of the functionalities available on the platform. We are committed to maintaining the confidentiality and security of this content and information, and we will not share it with unauthorized third parties, unless required by law or the operation of the platform. User content will be processed and used in accordance with this privacy policy.
Payment details: Payment data refers to information related to payment information, such as your name, email address, phone number, card number, expiration date, security code, etc., depending on the selected payment method by the user when paying for our services and additional functionalities. Your payment data will be processed by the payment processors available on this platform, which will process and store your data securely and for the sole purpose of processing payment for our services and additional functionalities. Contact information: We may access certain personal information about the user, such as name and email address, when the user or any third party contacts us through our contact information. Personal information provided through our contact information is not stored on any Unite server and will be stored on the respective server of our email service.
4. HOW LONG WE KEEP YOUR DATA
The personal data provided by users through the platform will be kept for the time necessary to fulfill the legitimate purposes described in this policy (section 5) and/or until the user stops using our platform, closes the account, or requests the deletion of your data. Unite may retain personal data for a longer period as long as the user has given their consent to such processing, as long as said consent is not withdrawn. In addition, Unite may be obliged to retain personal data for a longer period whenever this is required to comply with a legal obligation or by order of an authority. Once the retention period has expired, the personal data will be deleted. Therefore, the right of access, the right of deletion, the right of rectification and the right to data portability cannot be enforced once the retention period has expired.
5. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION (LEGITIMATE PURPOSES)
In general, we use the information we collect primarily to provide, maintain, protect and improve our platform and to appropriately provide the functionality available on our platform. We use personal information collected through our platform as described below:

6. HOW WE SHARE INFORMATION
Our users’ personal information is an important and fundamental part of our business. Under no circumstances will we sell or share information with third parties that has not been previously authorized by the user, client or owner of the personal data. We share user information solely and exclusively as described below.
Third Party Service Providers. We use third-party services to perform certain functions on our platform. Some of these functions and services are: hosting the application in the application stores (App Store and Google Play), payment processing (Stripe), storage services (Firebase), sending emails, advertising services (Google) and performing monitoring and analysis functions on the platform.
These third-party services and tools may have access to personal information necessary to perform their functions, but they may not use that information for other purposes. Information shared with these third-party services will be treated and stored in accordance with their respective privacy policies and our privacy policy.
Newsletter and email communications: By providing us with your email address, you consent and agree that we may send you marketing content and newsletters, notifications and information related to the content of our platform. Therefore, your email address may be shared with third-party bulk email services for the sole and exclusive purpose of sending you relevant communications. If you wish to stop receiving communications from Unite, you can unsubscribe at any time using the “unsubscribe” option available in the same emails or by sending your request through our contact information.
Business transfers. In case Unite creates, merges with or is acquired by another entity, your information will most likely be transferred. Unite will send you an email or place a prominent notice on our platform before your information becomes subject to another privacy policy.
Protection of Unite and others. We disclose personal information when we believe release is appropriate to comply with the law, enforce or apply our Terms and Conditions and other agreements, or protect the rights, property or safety of Unite, our users or others. This includes sharing information with other companies and organizations for fraud protection and credit risk reduction.
With your consent. Other than as noted above, you will receive notice when your personally identifiable information may go to third parties, and you will have an opportunity to opt out of sharing the information.
Anonymous information. Unite uses anonymous browsing information automatically collected by our servers primarily to help us administer and improve the platform. We may also use anonymous aggregate information to provide information about the Platform to potential business partners and other unaffiliated entities. This information is not personally identifiable.
7. PROTECTION OF YOUR DATA
We only grant access to your personal information to those people or external services who have a legitimate need to know and in accordance with our privacy policy. We adhere to industry-recognized security standards to protect your personal information, both during transmission and storage.
However, it is important to note that no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is foolproof and 100% secure. Therefore, while Unite strives to implement commercially viable data protection methods, we cannot guarantee the absolute security of your personal information. We are committed not to sell, distribute or transfer your personal data to unauthorized third parties, unless we have your explicit consent or are required by law to do so.
8. DATA BREACH NOTIFICATIONS
In the event of a security breach that compromises the confidentiality of our users’ personal data, Unite undertakes to promptly notify those affected. This notification will be made through the contact means that have been provided by the user on our platform. We will take all reasonable measures to protect information and remedy any situation that jeopardizes the security of your data.
9. INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFER
By using our platform, you agree that your personal data may be transferred and processed outside your home country, where data protection laws may differ. This is because we may use storage services that may have servers located outside your country of origin. Unite is committed to taking the necessary steps to ensure that your data is treated in accordance with applicable privacy protection regulations and is adequately protected during any international transfers.
10. RIGHTS
Users who provide information through our platform, as interested parties and data owners, have the right to access, rectify, download or delete their information, as well as to restrict and oppose certain processing of their information. While some of these rights apply generally, others only apply in certain limited circumstances. Below we describe these rights:
Access and portability: To access and know what information is stored on our servers, you can send us your request through our contact information.
Rectify, restrict, limit and/or delete: You can also rectify, restrict, limit or delete much of your information.
Right to be informed: Users of our platform will be informed, upon request, what data we collect, how it is used, how long it is kept and whether it is shared with third parties.
Object: Where we process your information based on our legitimate interests, as explained above, or in the public interest, you may object to this processing in certain circumstances. In such cases, we will stop processing your information unless we have compelling legitimate reasons to continue processing it or where it is necessary for legal reasons.
Revoke consent: Where you have previously given your consent, for example to allow us to process and store your personal information, you have the right to withdraw your consent to the processing and storage of your information at any time. For example, you can withdraw your consent by updating your settings. In certain cases, we may continue to process your information after you have withdrawn your consent if we have a legal basis for doing so or if your withdrawal of consent was limited to certain processing activities.
Complaint: If you wish to make a complaint about our use of your information (and without prejudice to any other rights you may have), you have the right to do so to your local supervisory authority. Users can exercise all these rights by contacting us through the contact information.
Rights related to automated decision making, including profiling: Users may request that we provide them with a copy of the automated processing activities we carry out if they believe that data is being processed unlawfully.
Users or holders of personal data provided through the platform may exercise these rights over their personal data at any time and without any limitation, by sending their request through our contact information. The request to exercise your rights will be attended to and answered within a maximum period of 10 business days.
11. RIGHT TO FILE A CLAIM
If you consider that your data protection rights have been violated, you have the right to file a claim with a supervisory authority. If you are in the European Union, you can do so to the local data protection authority in your country or directly to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD) in Spain. If you are in Argentina, you can present your claim to the Agency for Access to Public Information (AAIP).
12. PROTECTING CHILDREN’S ONLINE PRIVACY
We comply with the requirements of national and international data protection regulations with regard to the protection of personal data of minors. We do not knowingly collect any information from children under 16 years of age (minimum age allowed to register and use the platform).
If we become aware that a child under 16 has provided us with personal information, we will take immediate steps to delete such information and restrict access to that user.
13. THIRD PARTIES
Except as otherwise expressly included in this privacy policy, this document addresses only the use and disclosure of information that Unite collects from you. Unite does not control the privacy policies of third parties, and you are subject to the privacy policies of those third parties where applicable.
Unite is not responsible for the privacy or security practices of other websites, platforms or services, including those linked from our platform. Please review the privacy policies of any third-party websites, platforms or services you access through the Unite platform.
14. CHANGES IN THE PRIVACY POLICY
We reserve the right to modify our privacy policy at any time. Changes will be immediately notified to our users and published on the platform. The continued use of our platform after such changes will imply acceptance of them.
